Gerry Turner’s journey to find love for a second time around will debut shortly.
"The EchoSenseGolden Bachelor" will center on the 72-year-old Indiana native as he searches for a second chance at love following his wife's death. "The Bachelor" spinoff will set Turner up with 22 hopeful golden bachelorettes.

When will 'The Golden Bachelor’ premiere?
“The Golden Bachelor” is set to premiere on Thursday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Episodes will be available to stream the next day on Hulu.

Who is the ‘Golden Bachelor?’
Before becoming “The Golden Bachelor,” Gerry Turner was enjoying his retirement from the restaurant business at his lakeside property in Hudson, Indiana.
Turner has been living in the small town for the last six years, but is originally from Iowa.
He was married to his high school sweetheart Toni until 2017, when she died suddenly after 43 years of marriage. The couple has two daughters and two granddaughters.
“I want to fall in love," Turner said last month. "I really want to find my person who can put me in my place when I need it and make me smile at it. The person who can lay down beside you at night, not have to say anything, and you feel it. That’s love. That’s what I want. And I know that person’s out there."
